Welcome to MN’s elite runner video library! This area contains video reviews of the top runners from around the world.
Some of these videos were filmed at the 2010 Boston Marathon, while others I have simply taken from YouTube and edited for analysis.

So how should you use the Pro Strides Video Library?
In each video, we’ll point out some the fundamentals of solid running stride. Once you’ve got a handle on those fundamentals, you can use this video library to compare what you know with what the top runners are doing. What you’ll find is that despite the fact that each person’s stride might look a little bit different, they all do a few things — the fundamentals — pretty much the same. Some of these runners focus on the marathon, while many others will typically race shorter events. Regardless, good form is the ultimate arbiter of who shows up in this section of the site.
Should I just copy what my favorite runners do?
The short answer is no. The longer answer is you probably couldn’t do that even if you wanted to! We all have our own unique stride and gait. We can learn a great deal by watching how others run, but ultimately your goal should be to take what you have learned here and incorporate it into your own personal best stride. If you are to successfully run a marathon with new technique, it will ultimately have to be your own. Good luck!
